A New Approach to Rediscovering Test Talent

"The India Emerging side will be a platform for U-25 players, and they will also form the backbone of India A teams for shadow tours," a BCCI source revealed. This strategy ensures a continuous supply of talented cricketers ready for the rigors of Test cricket.
Selecting the Future Stars
The selection process is meticulous. The plan is to choose 64 cricketers and divide them into four squads. These squads will compete in four-day red-ball games at the COE, offering diverse pitch conditions for realistic match practice.
Of these 64, 25 cricketers (U-23) will be selected based on their performances in the Cooch Behar Trophy (U-19) and CK Nayudu Trophy (U-23). Another 25 (U-23 and U-25) will be chosen from players who have excelled in the Ranji Trophy, Vijay Hazare Trophy, and Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy but are not part of the IPL.
Additionally, 14 young IPL prospects, including Mhatre, Sooryavanshi, and Sameer Rizvi, will complete the squad, provided they are fit and available.
